CluneTech Pics: Meet Our Winners & Explore Our Photo Guidelines
One of the most-loved culture initiatives at CluneTech is our quarterly CluneTech Pics competition. This competition is a fun way for our team to share snapshots from everyday life, creative moments, or stunning scenes from around the world.
Each quarter, employees across the globe submit photos to our dedicated CluneTech Pics space on Workvivo. From scenic sunsets and cityscapes to unexpected everyday magic, we’ve seen some truly incredible entries.

How It Works
Each quarter, we put a call out for photo submissions on Workvivo. It’s open to everyone, and all you have to do is post your photo in the CluneTech Pics Space using #CluneTechPics.
To keep it fair and focused on the photography, we keep entries anonymous during the voting round. Once a shortlist is selected, the whole team gets a chance to vote for their favourite!
What You Can Win
Each quarter’s winner receives:
- A pair of Apple AirPods
- Their photo featured as the Core HR background for the upcoming quarter
It’s a great way to show off your creativity, win a fun prize, and make your mark on one of our everyday tools.
Photo Guidelines
Just a few quick things to keep in mind before submitting:
- Photos should be landscape
- Ideal size: 1980 x 1080 pixels so they fit Core HR’s layout nicely
- Entries must be posted directly in the CluneTech Pics space on Workvivo. Entries elsewhere won’t be counted.
Why We Love It
This competition isn’t just about pretty pictures, it’s about connection. It gives us a chance to see the world through each other’s eyes, discover new places, and celebrate the creativity and talent within our global team.
Plus, with each edition, we’re reminded of the amazing community we have here at CluneTech.
Keep an Eye Out
If you haven’t entered yet, don’t worry — there are two more chances this year to get involved! Whether you’re snapping with your phone or using a camera, we’d love to see your world.
So next time the competition opens, get involved! Your photo could be the next one lighting up Core HR!
And to wrap things up, have a sneak peek at our H1 winners and the stories of their winning photos.

Elvera King - Sprintax – Q1 Winner
“The photo was taken in my home village of Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny. It’s an aerial shot captured by drone, taken on a clear morning that really brought out the rich colours of the landscape and the River Nore winding through the village. Bennettsbridge has a timeless, peaceful charm, and I wanted to capture that unique perspective from above — something you don’t often get to see unless you’re a bird (or a drone!). I’ve lived in Bennettsbridge my whole life and have a deep connection to this place—it’s home in every sense of the word. The photo captures the entrance to the village as you cross the bridge, and so many familiar landmarks are visible: the pub on the corner that my family and I once managed, the school that both I and my children attended, the church and graveyard, and the hill that leads up to my home. To me, a good photo does more than just look beautiful — it tells a story and captures a moment in time. It’s not just about composition or lighting, but about evoking something deeper: a memory, a feeling, a connection. The best photos bring you back to a place, a moment, or even a part of yourself. They hold meaning — not just for the person who took them, but for anyone who sees them and feels something stir. A good photo lasts longer than the moment it was taken; it becomes a piece of a shared human experience. This picture captures not just moments from my past and present, but also dreams for what’s to come.”

Daniela Vatova - Fintua– Q2 Winner
„There is no place like home. The legendary sunsets of my home town - Pomorie. The picture was taken in November 2024. This is my favourite place in the world, the sea alley in Pomorie. Every single sunset is unique and beautiful and it never gets old to take a picture of the sunset.
My advice for a beautiful picture is - when you feel the moment with your heart try to capture it with your eyes and then with the phone or camera.”

What I Wanted to Be When I Grew Up: Dreams vs. Reality
Everyone’s career journey is unique, and it often starts long before we enter the workforce. We spoke to team members across departments to ask one simple question: "What did you want to be when you were a kid?" The answers gave us a glimpse into the diverse passions that shape our people—and the winding paths that led them here.

“Growing up, I always dreamed of achieving more – not just for myself, but also to show my family that a different future was possible. I imagined myself working in a modern office with large glass windows, dressed professionally, confident and independent. That vision became a source of motivation and shaped my ambitions from an early age.
Coming from a small village where opportunities were scarce, I was the only one in my class to attend high school and the only one in my extended family to graduate from university.
Today, as a Client Engagement Executive, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful that I get to live a version of the life I once only imagined.”

“When I was ten, I wanted to follow in my father's footsteps and become a doctor. However, as I grew older, I realised that I would prefer to work with people when they are at their best rather than when they are at their worst. So I went into hospitality and sailed the world on the Queen Mary 2. From there, it was just a small step back to land to take on a sales role, taking with me my excellent customer service skills. In my spare time, I help out with the Community First Responders in Gorey.”

Guilherme Zimmermann
Partner Implementation Manager at TransferMate
Kilkenny, Ireland
“My early years were quite typical—filled with school, friends, pets, television, and video games. It wasn’t until I was around 15 that I began to seriously consider a professional career. At the time, I was playing bass guitar in a rock band that started gaining traction, which led me to consider pursuing a Bachelor of Music. However, my interests began to shift after I started reading some of my father’s business magazines and books. This exposure sparked a growing curiosity about the world of business and management.
By the age of 18, I had committed to this new direction and enrolled in a five-year Bachelor's program in Business Administration, alongside a specialization in Entrepreneurship. Since then, I have continued to invest in my education, completing an MBA in Project Management and a Bachelor's degree in Data & Analytics. Currently, I am pursuing a three-year Master's degree in Technology in Financial Services.
Over the past 20 years, I have built a diverse and dynamic career across multiple industries, including Financial Services (FinTech) with TransferMate, Information Technology, E-learning, International Education, Digital Marketing and Social Media, Healthcare, Customer Service, Petrochemicals, Naval Maritime, Shared Services, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).”

Maria Sanchez
Treasury Supervisor at TransferMate
Manila, Philippines
“When I was a child, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I was drawn to the idea of sharing knowledge, inspiring others, and making a difference in people's lives. However, as I grew older and began to consider my future more practically, I decided to pursue a degree in Financial Management Accounting. This path eventually led me to a career in the financial industry, where I've had the opportunity to work with various financial institutions. While it’s far from the classroom I once imagined, the journey has taught me a lot about discipline, problem-solving, and communication—skills I believe I would’ve used as a teacher, too.”
Zornitsa Bangieva
Multimedia Designer at CluneTech
Varna, Bulgaria
“When I was a bright-eyed kid, I truly believed I could be anything — a singer (despite not being able to sing all that well), a writer, even a dentist! But as time went on, I realized that what I loved most was drawing and creating things with my hands. I began to dream of a future where my job would be something creative — a space where I could use my imagination and passion for the arts every day. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to be working as a multimedia designer.”

“I run to feel alive.”
How long have you been running?
Running has always been a part of my life. There have been times when I stopped for one reason or another, but I never gave up. In recent years, I’ve taken it more seriously, training and participating in various races. As I like to say, I run with no brakes. For me, the biggest obstacle is fear — it’s the fine line between success and failure.
What motivates you to keep running?
Running gives me strength. I’m not one of those people who run just for health or to win prizes. I run to feel alive. I run to feel the pulse within me. I run to discover myself and to grow as a person.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
Depending on the run, I take different things with me, but most often I bring a friend, a watch, and some water.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
To be honest, I don’t really think much while I’m running. It’s the time when I clear my mind and enjoy nature. But now that I think about it, there is one thought that never leaves my head while I run — what I’m going to eat afterward.
Martin Marinov

“On most of my runs, I often think about how I don’t feel like running 😀.”
How long have you been running?
I’ve been running since 2022. Before that, I also trained in track and field for several years when I was a student.
What motivates you to keep running?
In the short term, it’s the serotonin rush. In the long term, it’s about building a stronger, more resilient body.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
Just my house keys. I usually run shorter distances—between 4 and 10 kilometers.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
A mix of everyday thoughts, but mostly how much I don’t feel like running. 😀
Plamen Cvetkov

“I've been running in one form or another my whole life .“
How long have you been running?
I've been running in one form or another my whole life (mainly football—and occasionally from responsibility 😁). I only took a short 1-2 year break when my son was born. During that time, I switched to 'snacking marathons' and gained a few extra kilos. But I soon realized that it's not a lifelong sport I want to stick with, so I got back into running, added cycling, and even started doing yoga!
What motivates you to keep running?
Running gives me peace, strength, and precious time to listen to a good audiobook — so I’m training both my body and my brain!
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
My running shoes, my phone and headphones, my watch (to pretend I care about pace)… and the hope that I won’t meet a dog that wants to race me!
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
It’s a mix — the story from my audiobook, random life thoughts, and sometimes just ‘don’t stop, don’t stop, don’t stop’ on repeat.
Zlatomir Vangelov
Project Manager
TransferMate
“I usually run to clear my head.”
How long have you been running?
Seriously, probably for about a year now.
What motivates you to keep running?
Running gives you so many benefits that help in every area of life. I won’t list them all, but regular training and pushing yourself definitely lead to big changes. Overall, it just gives me a better quality of life.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
Willpower and water.
And a smile.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
I usually run to clear my head. It’s a great way to get rid of unnecessary thoughts. But after a long run—over 20 kilometers—I mostly think about food, rest, and beer.

“The rush of positive energy I get after each run motivates me to keep doing it.”
How long have you been running?
I used to run only occasionally.
What motivates you to keep running?
The rush of positive energy I get after each run.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
A good mood, of course.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
All kinds of thoughts — sometimes even things like, “What’s the meaning of life?”
Georgi Cholakov
IT Security Manager
CluneTech
“If I’m in a race, I’m focused on distributing my energy as optimally as possible to achieve the best result I’m capable of.”
How long have you been running?
I’ve been running for a relatively short time – 7 months.
What motivates you to keep running?
A recharge from the stressful everyday life. When your body is struggling for more air and you feel your muscles burning, you stop thinking about all the problems spinning in your head daily.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
Beyond clothes and shoes, the only other thing is my watch – nothing else.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
That largely depends on the type of run I’m doing at the moment. If I’m in a race, I’m focused on distributing my energy as optimally as possible to achieve the best result I’m capable of. If I’m doing a slow recovery run, I try to hold myself back from dashing off at full speed.

How long have you been running?
2021 was the first year I started including running as part of my training routine.
What motivates you to keep running?
The confidence that I’m in good physical shape.
Is there anything you always bring with you on a run?
Ideally, nothing. The less stuff I carry, the easier it is to run.
What kind of thoughts usually run through your mind while you’re running?
It depends on the intensity of the workout. On tough days, I focus on proper breathing and keeping my foot rhythm steady.
