‍

‍

We're continuing to build momentum, welcoming a number of new clients across key sectors thanks to consistent business development, proactive engagement and a strong focus on delivering value. By combining clear communication, dependable delivery and tailored solutions, our teams are creating lasting partnerships and expanding our pipeline for future growth. This year's new client wins include Panasonic, Samsung Ireland, Bramblecrest and KEF.

Workbloom Phase 2 Goes Live!

‍

‍

We were really excited to launch Phase 2 of Workbloom, bringing a host of new features designed to make employee recognition simpler, smarter and more impactful.

This latest release introduces enhanced automation, allowing HR teams to effortlessly celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries and key milestones through the new milestone builder - reducing admin while ensuring no important moments are missed. New integration with Access PeopleXD also enables seamless synchronisation of employee data, keeping recognition programmes accurate and up to date with minimal manual input.

Phase 2 also includes improved tax and compliance reporting, making year-end administration easier, alongside real-time analytics, global rewards across 32 countries and customisable campaigns that help organisations build a culture of everyday recognition.

We've received fantastic feedback on the latest features and we're looking forward to building on that momentum by continuing to shape Workbloom around the insights and ideas shared by our customers.

Congratulations on 25 Years of Service – Dani Atanasova!

Let's Talk Volunteering

Volunteer Day was introduced at CluneTech in September2021. It allows employees who have passed their probation period to take one company-paid day per year to volunteer for a cause of their choice. Last year, we also recognised blood donation as a volunteering initiative, giving employees the option to split their Volunteer Day in order to be able to donate twice a year.

Since its launch, 350 Volunteer Days (or 2,008 volunteer hours) have been used, with Volunteer Day usage increasing by 50% in 2025 compared to 2022, which was the first full year of the programme.

CluneTech’s 25-Year Milestones: Celebrating a Journey of Growth and People

The first half of the year has been marked by a series of truly special milestones at CluneTech. And while 25 years might sound like just a number, for us it represents something much bigger – people, growth, memories, and a shared journey that continues to shape who we are today.

25 Years Since the Establishment of Our Bulgarian Office

On 26th April, we marked25 years since the establishment of our office in Varna, Bulgaria – an incredibly important milestone in CluneTech’s history.

This moment represents the beginning of our international journey and played a key role in shaping the global business we are today. From a family business started at the kitchen table, through our first international office in Varna, Bulgaria to a truly global organisation, this achievement reflects the dedication and contributions of many colleagues over the years.

A Message of Gratitude from Terry Clune

We started the day with a special message from Terry Clune, who took the opportunity to thank all colleagues, past and present, who have been part of CluneTech’s journey in Bulgaria. It was a meaningful reminder of the people behind our success and the shared effort thatcontinues to drive us forward.

Down Memory Lane: Celebrating Our Stories

To celebrate the occasion, wealso launched a Down Memory Lane photocontest, inviting colleagues to share their favourite throwbackmoments. From old office photos and team memories to “first day vs. now” comparisons, the submissions brought back a wave of nostalgia, humour, and warmth. With nearly50 entries, the collection truly captured the journey we’ve taken together – andbrought plenty of smiles across the office.

A Special Visitand a Day to Remember

The highlight of the celebrations was a special visit from Terry Clune and Catherine Quirke, who joined usin the Varna office to personally congratulate colleagues marking their 25-yearanniversaries with CluneTech. The office was filled with celebration – from delicious cakes and thoughtful surprises to shared memories and moments of reflection. It was a day that reminded us not only of how far we’ve come, but also of the people who have shaped that journey.

Featured in Local Media

Our celebrations also capturedthe attention of local media, who highlighted CluneTech’s 25-year journey in Bulgaria, our growth as an organisation, and the experiences of colleagues who have been part of the company for many years. It was a proud moment to see our story shared beyond the office walls, recognisingboth our achievements and the people behind them.

HeartwarmingMilestone Interviews

To give a closer look at what it means to work at the same company for a quarter of a century, six colleagues taking part in our anniversary celebrations joined our special Milestone Program Interview Series. We had the pleasure of speaking with them as they reflected on their journeys with CluneTech, sharing personal and inspiring perspectives on long-term growth, dedication, and shared success.

And That’s Not All…

Our celebrations will continue with a special anniversary party at The Brick Port Varna on 8th August, titled “Irish Roots, Bulgarian Energy”.  The event will bring colleagues together to celebrate the unique collaboration, culture, and energy that define CluneTech – a perfect way to mark 25 years of shared success and to look ahead to the future with excitement.

Another Special25-Year Milestone: Louise Coleman

In May, we also celebrated a very special anniversary at our Kilkenny HQ, marking Louise Coleman’s 25-year milestone with CluneTech.

Louise joined the original Taxback team 25 years ago, where the CluneTech journey first began. She started in the finance department and has since played an important role in the growth of the business.

Louise’s journey is a meaningful part of the wider CluneTech story and a true reflection of her dedication, professionalism, and long-standing commitment.

A Trip Down Memory Lane: 25 Years in Pictures

Earlier this year, as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of our Varna office, we invited colleagues to take a trip down memory lane and share their favourite CluneTech throwback moments. From first-day photos and cherished team memories to snapshots from our early office days, the response was filled with nostalgia, laughter and stories that beautifully captured the spirit of our journey together.

While our winners were ultimately selected with the help of the Wheel of Luck, we couldn’t resist catching up with them to learn more about the memories behind their photos. Read on to discover the stories that make these snapshots so special, and be sure to check all entries on Workvivo.

Sevda Sasheva, Sprintax: “This photo was taken during our Irish Filing team-building event in Shkorpilovtsi back in 2013. Many of the colleagues in the picture are no longer with the company, but the memories we created together remain unforgettable.”

Iliyana Stefanova, Group Services: “Taken on 16.06.2008, the photo shows the Irish accounting team enjoying the spacious terrace and huge kitchen area when the office was still brand new and only a few floors of the building were occupied. I still have the pleasure of working and being friends with some of the colleagues in the photo.”

Elena Petrova, Fintua: “This photo was taken during one of our summer parties with the team, and I still remember what an amazing night it was. We laughed so much, enjoyed every moment together, and created memories I’ll always keep close to my heart. Every time I look at this photo, it brings back the same warm feeling and reminds me how special those moments were.”

Irena Ivanova – TransferMate– Q1 Winner

"The photo was taken during my vacation in Valencia at the amazing Bioparc Valencia. I was really impressed by the beautiful nature, peaceful atmosphere, and the way the animals live in an environment that feels close to their natural habitat. Visiting this place was one of the most memorable experiences from my trip."

Tetyana Hasyuk– TransferMate – Q2 Winner

"The photo was taken at the beginning of May in Inistioge, a small and picturesque village in County Kilkenny. There isn’t really a particular story behind it - I simply love spring gardens and flowers, and I always try to visit beautiful places for a walk. I originally came across a photo of this wisteria cottage on Instagram and did a bit of research to find out where it was located, as I wanted to see it myself 😊

I was very surprised to discover that it was in Inistioge, as I had visited the village many times before while going to Woodstock Gardens& Arboretum."

Svetoslav Chimev: The Ultimate Quiz Master

This spring, our colleague SvetoslavChimev from Fintua reached an outstanding milestone on the Bulgarian National Televisionquiz show Последният печели / Last One Standing, achieving 20 consecutivewins and securing the prestigious “Всезнайко” (Quiz Master) trophy. This achievementplaces him among just four participants in the show’s history to reach this level- a remarkable recognition of his consistency, knowledge, and passion for quizzing.

A long-time quiz enthusiast, Svetoslavalso shares his love for trivia beyond the screen, organising weekly quiz nightsevery Monday at the Golden Sheep Pub in Varna.

Deeply impressed by his never-ending curiosity, we caught up with Svetoslav to learn more about his experience on national television, his preparation, and passion about quizzing

Congratulations on achieving 20 consecutive wins on Last One Standing – what does this achievement mean to you personally?

Thank you! As an avid fan of all kinds of games and quiz competitions, Last One Standing was the perfect platform for me to put my knowledge and skills to the test. Achieving 20 consecutive win on the show has been incredibly rewarding on a personal level. It certainly wasn't easy – the journey was long and challenging, but I genuinely enjoyed every step along the way.

I would like to thank all my family, friends and colleagues who followed my journey on national television every evening for almost a month. Their heartfelt messages and encouragement meant a great deal to me, and I'm delighted that they were able to share at least a small part of the excitement I experienced in the studio.

What touched me most was hearing that some people watched the show together with their children, celebrated every correct answer and cheered me on as one big team. 😊

What do you think was the key to your success on the show?

Winning my first game felt like crossing a major milestone that I had been determined to achieve for a long time. It gave me the confidence and peace of mind I needed, and from that point on, I was simply able to enjoy the experience.

The key elements behind my success were concentration, intuition, a reliable memory and the ability to recover and reset after each game. Some of my opponents said that taking part in the show meant stepping outside their comfort zone. My biggest advantage was that, for me, competing in a quiz show was actually my comfort zone.

You've been passionate about quiz competitions since 2009 and even organise weekly quiz nights in Varna. What first sparked your interest in this type of game?

The answer is simple – curiosity. I heard from friends that a pub in Varna was hosting quiz nights, and it immediately sparked my interest. I gathered a team of fellow enthusiasts, and we went along to see what it was all about. From that moment on, quizzes became an integral part of my life.

For many years, I was solely a participant and competitor. However, at one point, I decided it was time to move to the other side and start asking the questions myself because, as immodest as it may sound, I realised that I had a real talent for it.

What makes a good quiz player, and what advice would you give to people who want to improve their performance in quiz competitions?

A good quiz player should havea broad curiosity and an interest in as many different areas of knowledge as possible. When taking part in a quiz, it also helps to build a team with people who have diverseinterests and complementary strengths.

What are quiz nights all about? They are an entertaining and engaging form of intellectual fun, where there is noreal risk of embarrassment. Instead, they offer the chance to spend quality timewith friends, challenge yourself, and learn fascinating facts about the world aroundus.

Give it a try – you won’t regretit! 😊
