10 Years at TransferMate - Interview with Ellen Brennan

At CluneTech, we have an extensive Milestone Recognition Programme that rewards employees that choose to build a long and successful career with us. As part of this programme, we love celebrating and sharing the stories of those celebrating major milestones with the company. This month we caught up with Ellen Brennan, Head of Settlements at TransferMate, who has been on our team for 10 years! Check out our interview with Ellen below.

What is your favourite thing about working at TransferMate and CluneTech?

The people and learning new things. CluneTech has a great community spirit and the people make working here enjoyable. Also as TransferMate scales, I continue to broaden my knowledge on new products and offerings, which is an added bonus as I have learned so much during my 10 years here.

What is the greatest challenge that you have faced since being in TransferMate/CluneTech and how did you overcome it?

Remote working. The adjustment to working remotely was challenging as our team verbally communicated constantly throughout each day. Different forms of technology and regular team meetings helped us to overcome this challenge quite quickly and the contingency plan the company had in place, pre-pandemic, resulted in a speedy transition for everyone.

What has been your biggest achievement or highlight since joining TransferMate/CluneTech?

Working in every area of Treasury and progressing in my career with TransferMate .

What has been your favourite task/project to work on?

Being a manager! I love to deal with people and to help them succeed. Feeling a sense of achievement as a team when we reach certain milestones is something special and that I’m proud of.

Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting their career with CluneTech?

There is no such thing as a silly question when starting a new role, asking questions is how you learn!

Ellen Brennan, Head of Settlements at TransferMate
