Our CSR Programme - CluneTech Cares, is a fantastic representation of what we are - a team of truly caring individuals giving our best to support and add value, not only to our customers, but also to the communities in which we operate. CluneTech Cares is employee-led and has three key pillars: Wellness, Culture & Community, and Sustainability. It has been a busy quarter so make sure to check out some of our latest activities below.
As part of our continued commitment to sustainability, CluneTech once again went green this April to mark World Earth Day. Throughout the month, we shared daily eco-friendly lifestyle tips with colleagues on Workvivo, encouraging small but impactful changes across our teams.
This year, we also welcomed back a popular initiative amongst our staff to celebrate #CluneTechGoesGreen: a live sustainability and environmentally friendly cooking webinar in association with Laya Healthcare.
Led by Siobhan Berry of Mummy Cooks, the webinar offered practical guidance on reducing food waste and making greener choices in the kitchen. Siobhan demonstrated easy-to-make, nutritious recipes such as Chicken Fajitas, One Pot Ragu, and No-Bake Energy Bites, all tailored to busy households.
Thank you to everyone who tuned in, engaged with our content, and shared their own green actions. Together, we’re making a difference.
In recognition of World MS Day, CluneTech was proud to support MS Ireland and MS Moga Sam in Bulgaria, two organisations making a real impact in the lives of those living with Multiple Sclerosis.
As part of our CSR Fundraising Day, employees took part in a special Strength & Conditioning session led by JP Treacy at our Kilkenny HQ. For every participant, CluneTech made a donation to our spotlight charities. It was an energising lunchtime break with a meaningful purpose.
We also hosted a CluneTech Goals for Good football match at The Watershed, where teammates came together to score goals and raise funds in honour of this important cause. A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and cheered from the sidelines.
This June, CluneTech celebrated Pride Month with a focus on allyship and education. We were honoured to welcome Belong To LGBTQ+ for an insightful Allyship Workshop, where attendees explored terminology, lived experiences, and practical ways to create inclusive spaces at work and beyond.
Belong To is the national organisation supporting LGBTQ+ youth in Ireland, helping to create a society where young LGBTQ+ people are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences. For every employee who attended, CluneTech donated €10 to support the organisation's vital work.
Thanks to everyone who joined the session, shared their thoughts, and championed inclusivity. Pride is more than a celebration, it's a movement we’re proud to stand behind.
This year’s annual donation to Karin Dom, the largest centre for children with special needs in the northeast of Bulgaria, will support musical therapy sessions for five children.
Music therapy is essential for those with autism and learning and neurodevelopmental disabilities, as it promotes communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and motor skill development through various musical activities.
CluneTech has been a proud sponsor and supporter of Karin Dom for over ten years, investing in various programmes for children with special needs, providing professional supervision for the center’s staff, and contributing to the recently built, state-of-the-art facility. This modern center offers psychologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and other specialists who help children develop skills and adapt to life.

In Q2 2025, CluneTech continues its support of the award-winning educational initiative FAST Heroes 112, which has now expanded city-wide in Varna, Bulgaria.
Endorsed by the World Stroke Organization and supported by CluneTech since 2022, the programme currently reaches 26 kindergartens and more than 2,100 children, delivering life-saving health education to families across the region.
What began as a pilot in just one school has grown into a vital community initiative, turning health education into a celebration and raising essential stroke awareness among nearly 13,000 people in the Varna municipality.
In partnership with Varna Municipality and the Heart to Heart Foundation Bulgaria, we remain committed to expanding the program’s impact even further, aiming to cover all primary schools in the city by autumn 2025.
The past three months have been busy, to say the least, with activities supporting young talent across high schools and universities in Bulgaria.
In April, we sponsored Varna’s High School of Trade company for children's books as part of the annual training companies contest. In May, we mentored University of Economics finance students as they presented their freelance crediting platform in a contest, part of Varna’s first Digital Finance Conference.
And in June, a group of twenty high school students graduated from the seventh edition of CluneTech’s year-long career counselling program, which included mentor-guided lectures on topics such as career path choice, creating a CV and LinkedIn profile, and nailing a job interview.
All these activities further strengthen our commitment to supporting young talent in their career exploration and successful career start.
This June, at an event celebrating World Blood Donor Day organized by the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology in Varna, Bulgaria, CluneTech was honoured for its corporate debut in blood donation.
We received an award for organizing our first office blood donation campaign, which took place in our office during CluneTech’s Health & Wellbeing Week in March, and for providing our employees in Bulgaria with one company-paid volunteer day for blood donation.
This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to charity and volunteering.
A big shoutout to our colleague Ellen Brennan, Head of Settlements at TransferMate Global Payments, who recently took on the Waterford Viking Half Marathon in aid of the Irish Kidney Association and absolutely smashed it!
CluneTech Cares was proud to support Ellen in her fundraising efforts for this incredible charity, whose work provides vital support to individuals and families navigating kidney illness, dialysis, and transplant journeys.
This cause is particularly close to Ellen’s heart, as her brother-in-law awaits a transplant, and she’s seen first-hand the impact of the services provided by the Irish Kidney Association.
At CluneTech, we’re proud to support our people and the causes close to their hearts. It was a privilege to back Ellen and play a small part in driving meaningful impact through our employee-led CSR programme, #CluneTechCares.
At CluneTech, we’re honoured to stand behind our employees as they advocate for the causes that matter most to them.
Gaelic4Mothers&Others is an LGFA initiative that brings women together to enjoy Gaelic football in a fun, social, and non-competitive way. It encourages women of all ages and abilities to get active, connect with others, and experience the benefits of team sport in a welcoming and supportive environment.
This quarter, we were proud to support the Lattin/Cullen Emly Gaelic Mothers & Others team. The request came from our TransferMate teammate Claire McBride, who is a dedicated member of the squad.
Thank you to Claire for bringing this brilliant initiative to us. We’re proud to back grassroots sport and champion opportunities that empower women both in and outside the workplace.
We were over the moon to share that both CluneTech teams ranked #8 and #20 out of a total of 79 teams at the Varna Business Run 2025 in June!
This marked our fourth consecutive year participating in Varna’s biggest corporate relay race. Alongside some of our avid returning runners – Yoan Garnevski, Plamen Cvetkov, Martin Marinov, and Zlatomir Vangelov – we were thrilled to welcome new additions to the team this year: Deyan S Dimitrov, Bilyana Nikiforova, Georgi Cholakov, and Plamen Velikov, all of whom delivered fantastic runs.
Well done and thank you to everyone who took part! We’re already looking forward to next year’s competition.
Back in June, CluneTech proudly presented the Kilkenny District League Gaynor Cup team with their brand-new kits ahead of the Gaynor Cup tournament.
The team went on to deliver an incredible performance at the University of Limerick, reaching the quarter finals of the prestigious competition. We’re incredibly proud of the players and management for their dedication, skill, and teamwork throughout the season.
A huge well done to everyone involved. Your hard work and commitment have truly made Kilkenny proud!
Introduced in 2021, our CSR Volunteer Day empowers each employee to give back to the charities and causes closest to them. Since the inception of Volunteer Day, 160+ CluneTech employees have contributed to causes which they find meaningful, and this number keeps growing. See what they had to share with us about their experience this quarter:
Elvera King: Raise the Par with Cathal
“Last Friday, I spent a truly special day volunteering at the Raise the Par with Cathal charity golf event in support of the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation at the stunning Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort.
This cause is really close to my heart — Cathal is the son of a dear friend, and it was such an honour to volunteer alongside his incredible family: his mum Ann Marie Freyne (who poured her heart into organising this event for the second year running), dad Niall, and big brother Tadgh.
I’m genuinely proud to work at Sprintax and be part of the CluneTech family, where giving back is encouraged and supported. Not only did CluneTech sponsor a tee box, but thanks to our CSR day, I was able to get involved and support something that means so much to me personally.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a success.”
Well done for using your CSR Volunteer Day to support such a great cause Elvera! We’re delighted we could support you with this.
CluneTech Volunteers Laid the Foundations of a Natural Classroom at Karin Dom
Five volunteers from our Varna team helped lay the foundation for a natural classroom for children at Karin Dom, Bulgaria.
The outdoor space will give kids with special needs and Montessori students the chance to learn through hands-on experiences such as planting and caring for herbs and flowers, outdoor cooking, and working with natural materials.
